God's Delay May Be a Test of Your Patience by Rick Warren

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, ‘He who is coming will come and will not delay.’” Hebrews 10:36-37 (NIV) God sometimes delays so you can see how patient you are. If you’re discouraged because of God’s delay in answering your prayers, understand the delay is NOT a denial. Just because the answer hasn’t come – YET – that doesn’t mean God isn’t going to answer or that he’s forgotten you or that he doesn’t care about you. It simply means “not yet!” Part of becoming spiritually mature is learning the difference between “no” and “not yet,” between a denial and a delay. The Bible tells us, “He who is coming will come and will not delay.” (Hebrews 10:37 NIV) God’s delay may be a test of your patience. Anybody can be patient once. And, most people can be patient twice. And, a lot of us can be patient three times. So God tests our patience over and over and over. Why? So he can see how patient you are? No! He does it so you can see how patient you are. So you’ll know what’s inside you, and you’ll be able to know your level of commitment. God tests you so that you can know he is faithful, even if the answers you seek are delayed. If you’re discouraged, turn it around by remembering God teaches you patience during delay. Ask him to transform your discouragement into patience.
 

the week 13 that i have been looking forward to since the beginning of week 8 is finally here! but somehow i am hoping that this week will not pass by so quickly.. probably cuz it marks the end of my learning thai 生涯 in NUS. i have survived thai 1 to thai 6! indeed it is ยิ่งเรียนยิ่งบ้า! my thai 6 class is บ้า and โง่จริงๆ.. 555. it's been an exciting journey and i have met really great friends.. and it's been an honour to perform on stage IN THAI with all of them! and guess it's gonna be emo week for me cuz it might be the last time i am attending lessons with aytim. still, i will cherish this last week and make it a meaningful week! suu taay! (: 

 i woke up feeling all chui today, cuz i had a big big pimple on my face. haha. who ask me, itchy fingers, go scratch it last night.

the lesson at jurong spring cc was AWESOME. weitian and i were late. but the kids totally loved us. haha. maybe because we called ourselves teacher shrek and teacher gingy. (: during the lesson, one boy told me, "teacher, i want more lessons." hearing, "teacher, i was molested.", i asked "huh? by who?" the boy pointed to teacher gingy and teacher shrek, and said "both of you.". "HUH?! WE MOLEST YOU?!" i was totally traumatised. i seriously need to go for some ear waxing man. laughed like mad non-stop when weitian or someone enlightened me. so 失态 la. when the other kids surrounded me to ask what the boy said, i couldn't say a word at all. laughed until i 贴墙.

then at the end of the lesson, we were waiting with a boy with long eyelashes for his maid. then he said he thought the magician would be a boy with a hat. haha. i asked him if he was disappointed when he saw us, he said YES! feeling hurt, but wanting to console myself, i asked him if he enjoyed the class. he said yes. (: then i asked if he likes me. he said yes. (:(: then i ask if he likes weitian he said yes. and he added, both of you are pretty. (:(:(: gosh. lakeside kids are so lovely and well-mannered.

i seriously love the lakeside kids. their jaws really drop after you perform a trick and they will wow in awe of you. most importantly, they think you are pretty even though you have a gigantic huge pimple on your face. muahahahaha. but when i escorted the boys to the toilet, they came out really fast. then i asked if they washed their hands already, they quickly ran back to the toilet to wash. HORROR! they kept touching us during lesson to attract our attention lo.

still, today was a great day because of the cute kids. yes yes, my love for the kids is very conditional. prayer meeting was great too. was a time of refreshing. thought the day could not end any better, until i reached home and saw THIS!
